Description

Organic Brahmi Powder is an ancient medicinal herb.

Organic Brahmi Powder has been used in Ayurvedic treatments for thousands of years. Brahmi is also know as ‘water hyssop’ or ‘herb of grace’.  Ayurveda is an Indian system of healing which has been used traditionally in India to promote healing and general well being.

Brahmi powder is brown in colour and is ground down from the leaves and stalks of a creeping perennial herb native to India.  The word Brahmi is derived from the hindu god Brahma who represents great intellect and is responsible for creative forces in the world.

Organic brahmi powder has become increasingly popular as more people look to ancient herbs to support busy modern lifestyles.  It has a characteristic aromatic smell/flavour and mixes easily into juices and smoothies.

Brahmi powder is also used for healthy hair growth and repairing split ends.  Simply mix it into a paste with water and leave it for 10 minutes or more before rinsing and washing as usual.

Family Tip

  1. If you generally like the taste of health drinks you can simply mix a teaspoon of brahmi powder straight into water.
  2. Brahmi makes a lovely warming drink with almond milk, honey, 1/2 tsp turmeric, cardamom, black pepper and coconut oil.
  3. If you are using brahmi for a hair mask, simply mix it with water or coconut oil to create a paste.  Massage this into the hair and leave for 10 minutes or overnight for a deep treatment, before washing.
