Description

Organic Brown Paella makes hearty, wholesome paella dishes.

Organic Brown Paella rice is a more wholesome variety than organic white paella rice and it makes nutritious paella dishes.  This speciality rice is the brown marisma variety and it cooks into a delicious al dente consistency, while still absorbing the flavours of the dish.

Just one 90g of cooked Organic Brown Paella Rice is high in Manganese and a source of Selenium.

Paella is actually the name of the dish, not the rice variety, but this rice is perfect for a delicious authentic Paella.  The traditional Spanish dish Paella originated in Valencia and although it typically uses shellfish and meat, you can make very tasty vegetarian and vegan versions.

The name Paella actually means pan or dish in Latin and the name was inspired by the wide flat pans used to make Paella in Spain.  It is traditional to eat Paella straight from the pan so it makes a great fun dish to share with family or friends.

We also stock organic white paella rice.  If you interested in other speciality rices try our organic brown jasmine rice, organic black rice, organic white basmati rice, organic brown basmati rice and organic red rice.
