Chocolate & Love Organic Fairtrade Dark Chocolate 55% with Arabica Coffee 80g is an elegant chocolate bar with a real but subtle taste of coffee (Arabica). Coffee flavours provide a little kick, perfectly complementing the chocolate taste. Chocolate and Love use the best cacao and other premium ingredients available to produce an organic chocolate of the finest quality. The cacao is sourced from Fairtrade certified cooperatives in Peru, Dominican Republic and Panama.
Chocolate & Love are devoted to creating chocolate bars with high cocoa content and less sugar. There bars are excellent quality, ethically-made, and affordable.
They source there cacao, cane sugar, vanilla and coffee from cooperatives certified by Fairtrade. Many of these are made up of various small family farms and the average size is five hectares. The farmers can choose to use the Fairtrade Premium for improvements of their cacao farms and invest in community projects, such as road construction and ensuring water supplies.
They use FSC-certified paper for the outside paper wrapper of the 80g and 40g bars; paper from responsibly managed forests.
The inside wrapper is a transparent plastic-free film based on renewable resources as it is made from wood pulp from sustainably harvested wood. It is fully compostable and the foil is certified to EU and US biodegradability and composting standards in both industrial and home composting environments (EN13432, EN14995, ASTMD6400 and ISO 17088).
