RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating, reviewing, and maintaining product specifications
Requesting, checking, and issuing Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
Supporting and maintaining the supplier approval system
Preparing, updating, and controlling technical documentation (SOPs, PCRs, policies, records)
Supporting completion and upkeep of food safety and quality systems
Trending and reporting customer service and quality issues
Supporting complaint investigations and corrective actions
Maintaining accurate technical files and document control
Liaising with suppliers regarding technical and quality information
Providing general technical support to the wider business as required
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a food technical, quality, or compliance role (e.g., Technical Assistant, QA Assistant, Technical Administrator)
Understanding of food safety systems (SALSA, BRC, HACCP, supplier approval, specifications, traceability)
Comfortable working with documentation and detail
Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple tasks
Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Interest in organic food, ingredients, or health foods (desirable)
Food-related degree or qualification
Experience with audits, SALSA, BRCGS, or similar standards
HACCP training
Experience working with raw materials or ingredients
