Organic Arborio makes warming, creamy risotto dishes.

Organic Arborio rice is one of the most absorbent rice you can find.  It cooks slowly to make creamy, delicious risotto dishes.  Risotto is the name of an Italian dish, not a rice variety and this organic arborio rice is perfect for a delicious authentic risotto.

This speciality rice cooks into the characteristic soft consistency of ristotto and absorbs all the flavours of the dish.  One 90g serving of cooked arborio rice is a source of Thiamin B1, Folate and Manganese.

Risotto is a traditional Italian dish which originates in northern Italy and is characterised by its slow cook method and creamy consistency.  It is often eaten as a starter in Italian cuisine.  Our cooking instructions give you a simple risotto recipe to get you started.

Cooking Instructions – Risotto

  1. Heat a pan of vegetable stock and leave it warming
  2. In a separate pan heat 1 tbsp of olive oil
  3. Add one chopped red onion and soften for 5 minutes
  4. Stir in 2 chopped garlic cloves
  5. Add 300g of Arborio rice and stir to coat the rice in the oil.
  6. Slowly add some wine and warmed veggie stock.
  7. Continue to add the stock ladle by ladle for about 25mins or until rice is soft and creamy
  8. The rice should be firm but not crunchy.


For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.
