Description

Organic Emmer Grain is a very special and ancient variety

This ancient grain is an ancestor of durum wheat. Organic Emmer Grain was among the first cereals cultivated in the East and it has a deliciously nutty flavour.  It can be eaten as a whole grain (farro) or ground into flour.

Emmer is harvested at its peak to get the fullest flavour. The grains can be milled at home for flour that makes delicious bread and pasta.

If you like grain salads, then Emmer makes a great base for a range of herbs and vegetables.  You can quickly make a tasty side dish similar to a tabbouleh and serve it with homemade hummus and fresh salad leaves.
