Description

Organic Kasha Makes a Delicious, Nutritious Porridge

Organic Kasha is made from whole hulled buckwheat groats that have been gently roasted. These kasha groats look just like buckwheat but have a slightly different colour after roasting and have a richer roasted flavour.

Buckwheat has been around since 4000 BC in Europe and remains popular today, especially in Asia and Eastern Europe. It’s a staple in Russian cuisine, where Kasha, a porridge-like dish made from toasted buckwheat, is considered a national favourite. It can be served sweet or savoury, as a side or a main.

Our organic buckwheat groats are roasted at low temperatures to help preserve all those valuable nutrients buckwheat is known for. It’s nutrient-dense, and perfect if you’re looking to add variety to your meals.

You can cook kasha groats like oats for a hearty breakfast, mix them into muesli, or use them in both sweet and savoury dishes. They bring an earthy, nutty taste that works in loads of recipes.

Easy Recipes with Organic Kasha:

  • Classic Kasha porridge with honey and berries
  • Savoury Kasha with mushrooms and onions
  • Kasha salad with roasted vegetables and herbs
  • Use as a rice alternative in stuffed peppers or grain bowls
