Our Organic Light Raw Tahini is unroasted and contains only two ingredients; organic sesame seeds and organic cold pressed sesame oil. The result is a deliciously flavoured natural and nutritious tahini.

The sesame is sourced from an environmentally sustainable producer in the Humera District of the Tigray region of Ethiopia.

Tahini is a classic middle eastern condiment used in many dishes including Baba ghanoush, Hummus and Halva. It has a creamy, nutty, savoury flavour profile and is perfect to enjoy by its self or as an ingredient in salad dressings, dips and sauces.

Tahini is quite low in calories and high in fibre, protein, and an assortment of important vitamins and minerals.

Hummus Recipe


60ml Organic Light Raw Tahini

250g Forest Whole Foods organic chickpeas (soaked and cooked)

60 ml Fresh lemon juice, (1 large lemon)

1 small garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons (30 ml) extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon Forest Whole Foods organic ground cumin

Salt to taste

2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 ml) water or aquafaba

Dash Forest Whole Foods organic ground paprika for serving


  1. Mix the tahini and lemon juice in a processor
  2. Add the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, chickpeas and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the tahini and lemon juice and then mix.
  3. Add water or aquafaba to get the perfect consistency.
  4. Serve with a sprinkle of organic paprika.


Store upright, cool, dark, and dry. Refrigerate after opening and use within 2 months. Natural oil will separate and collect on the surface during storage. Just stir back in before use.


Family Tip:

  1. Combine with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper for a delicious salad dressing. Turbo charge with other exotic organic spices.
