Description

Organic Red Rice is nutty and vibrant.

Organic Red Rice has a dark reddish-brown colour which comes from antioxidant compounds called anthocyanins.  It is not milled or polished so still contains the bran and germ of the rice which is rich in fibre and nutrients.

It has become very popular in recent years because it is one of the most nutrient rich rice varieties and has a deep, nutty flavour.

Red rice is great rice to try in summer recipes such as rice salads and tabbouleh style dishes.  It also goes well with curries and stir fries.  You can use it in the place of white/brown rice or mix them together for a colourful look and varied texture.

If you want to try other varieties of rice we also stock organic wild rice, organic black rice, organic white basmati rice, organic brown basmati rice and organic brown jasmine rice.
