Burdock root is native to North Asia and Europe and comes from the plant burdock (arctium lappa) which is related to daisies and sunflowers.
It is a versatile product and can be used both in tea and cooking. The root is a powerhouse of nutrition and contains many antioxidants. It is a good source of non-starch polysaccharides such as inulin. It also contains many vitamins, including folic acid, riboflavin, pyridoxine, niacin, vitamin E, and vitamin C.
