Organic Cassava Flour is grain free and great for tortillas.

Organic Cassava Flour is ground down from the whole cassava root. This grain free, paleo friendly flour works well as an all purpose replacement to traditional flours.  This starchy flour is a great alternative to almond flour if you need to be nut-free for school lunches or allergies.

Cassava flour comes from the whole root of the cassava plant which makes it different to Tapioca Flour which is a more refined version well suited for thickening soups and gravies.  Whole root cassava flour works well in a wide range of recipes.  It is great used for cookies, cakes and breads.  If you want to get started with it, try this delicious grain free banana cake.

  2. It makes great tortillas and goes well in flat bread style recipes.
  3. You can use cassava flour instead of wheat flour at a 1:1 ratio, but baking recipes may come out with a different rise and texture.
