Organic Dried Thyme was traditionally used for its antimicrobial properties.

Organic Dried Thyme is a warming and robust herb with a pungent aroma.  It is most commonly associated with European and Mediterranean cooking where it has been used for centuries.

Thyme goes particularly well with tomatoes and beans so compliments stews and other warming dishes.  It is commonly associated with French stews and is a staple herb in ‘herbs de provence’ and ‘boquet garni’ blends.

If you like warming drinks you can also use thyme as a herbal tea.  It is really tasty served as an ice tea with lemon and can quickly become a favourite.

Aside from tasting delicious, organic dried thyme has an amazing array of vitamins and minerals.  It has been used for centuries by Ancient Greeks and Romans to purify the home and body and this is probably due to its antimicrobial properties.

If you like experimenting with flavours it goes particularly well with basil, oregano and rosemary.
