Organic green cardamom pods are a truly amazing spice.

Organic green cardamom pods have such a powerful, fragrant scent.  If you have visited India the smell will transport you straight back to the chai tea sellers and vibrant spice markets.  Cardamom lends itself to sweet and savoury dishes and is a key flavour in our organic garam masala.

Our Organic Cardamom pods are dried using warm air and no other chemical processes take place.  They are high in Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron as well as containing a whopping 28% of your manganese requirements in a single teaspoon.

Storage

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.

Family Tip:

  1. A great way to use cardamom is a home creation of chai tea. Simply put cardamom, cloves and peppercorns in a large pestle and mortar and grind to a course powder.  Put the spices in a pan with a spoonful of coconut oil and warm for a few minutes and then add your milk of choice!
  2. Cardamom can make a fragrant addition to curries.
  3. We love using cardamom in baking, its unique taste goes well with sweet dishes.
  4. Rice pudding is so much better with organic cardamom added!
