Organic Ground Flaxseed (Linseed) is ready to sprinkle.

Organic ground flaxseed (linseed) is a very popular whole food which has been cultivated for over 6000 years.  You may sometimes hear these little nutrient dense seeds being called linseeds – they are exactly the same thing.

One 30g serving of ground flaxseed is high in protein, fibre, B1, magnesium and manganese.  Flaxseed is actually one of the richest sources of plant based omega 3 fatty acids (also called alpha-linolenic acid – ALA).

You can buy organic whole flaxseed which are best soaked or ground before use.  If you prefer the convenience of using it straight from the bag then this ground flaxseed is the best choice for you.

You can simply sprinkle the ground linseed over porridge or yoghurt for a nutritional hit.  Flaxseed is also a great binder so it can be added to soups or stews to help them thicken or to help gluten free flours bind.

If you prefer to use the whole seed you could try our organic organic golden flaxseed or our organic four seed mix.

This product is ground to a size of 0.5mm and not finely ground.

Family Tip:

  1. Simply sprinkle ground flax directly on to cereals, soups or salads.
  2. We also like to use ground flax in recipes to thicken sauces or in the place of breadcrumbs.
  3. You can also use this in baking recipes to help bind and to add valuable nutrition.
