Spruce Up Your Dishes With This Delicious Organic Light Roast Tahini

Our Organic Light Roast Tahini is made by grinding lightly roasted hulled sesame seeds. There are no other ingredients just pure organic sesame seed goodness.

Tahini is a classic middle eastern condiment used in many dishes including Baba ghanoush, Hummus and Halva. It has a creamy, nutty, savoury flavour profile and is perfect to enjoy by its self or as an ingredient in salad dressings, dips and sauces.

Tahini is quite low in calories and high in fibre, protein, and an assortment of important vitamins and minerals.

Hummus Recipe

Ingredients

60ml Organic Light Roast Tahini

250g Forest Whole Foods organic chickpeas (soaked and cooked)

60 ml Fresh lemon juice, (1 large lemon)

1 small garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons (30 ml) extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon Forest Whole Foods organic ground cumin

Salt to taste

2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 ml) water or aquafaba

Dash Forest Whole Foods organic ground paprika for serving

Method

  1. Mix the tahini and lemon juice in a processor
  2. Add the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, chickpeas and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the tahini and lemon juice and then mix.
  3. Add water or aquafaba to get the perfect consistency.
  4. Serve with a sprinkle of organic paprika.
