Description

Organic Whole Cloves are a true sensory experience.

Organic Whole Cloves smell simply amazing.  Everyone has a smell memory attached to cloves – usually to do with baking or Christmas.  We remember school Christmas services with cloves pushed into fresh oranges.

Cloves are actually buds of flowers from the Myrtaceae family which are native to Indonesia. Our organic cloves are dried using warm air with no other processing.

Have you ever tried making your own mulled wine?  It is a delicious way to get in the mood for Christmas.  Cloves can also be used in a whole range of aromatic dishes, sweet and savoury.  These organic cloves are a rich source of nutrition and contain a wide range of nutrients including high levels of manganese.

Origin: Sri Lanka

Allergen Information: Packed on premises that handle gluten, tree nuts, sesame, soya, peanuts.

Storage

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.

Family Tip:

  1. We often grab the jar of cloves simply to give it a good sniff, because these little buds smell so amazing and transport us to Christmas.
  2. A great way to serve them is in Moroccan tagine dishes where flavours like cinnamon can be twinned with apricot and chick peas to create a real taste sensation.
