Organic Whole Cloves are a true sensory experience.

Organic Whole Cloves smell simply amazing.  Everyone has a smell memory attached to cloves – usually to do with baking or christmas.  We remember school Christmas services with cloves pushed into fresh oranges.

Whole cloves are actually buds of flowers from the Myrtaceae family which are native to Indonesia. Our organic clove buds (or whole cloves) are dried using warm air with no other processing.

There is no doubt that mulled wine springs to mind for many of us, but cloves can also be used in a whole range of aromatic dishes, sweet and savoury.  Cloves are a rich source of nutrition and boast high levels of wide range of nutrients including Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Iron and Calcium.

The Nutritional Benefits of Organic Whole Cloves

Organic Whole Cloves are high in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese.  They are also a source of Riboflavin (B2), Folate (B9), and Copper.

Manganese: This vital nutrient contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, formation of connective tissue and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Vitamin E: This antioxidant contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Calcium: It is a common myth that we need to eat dairy to get an adequate calcium intake and many plant based foods boast high levels of it. Calcium is needed for the normal maintenance of bones and teeth, digestive enzyme function and energy-yielding metabolism.
