Organic Blanched Almonds are a source of vitamin E.

Organic Blanched Almonds are a creamy white colour and are perfect used in baking or as a simple snack.  The almond is technically a seed grown in a deciduous tree.  This tree grows easily in Europe but is native to the Middle East, India and Africa.

Blanched almonds have been heat treated with water to remove the skin which reveals the white flesh of the seed.  Organic blanched almonds are a great source of nutrition and are lovely used in baking or simply snacked on.

Almonds can be blended with water (1 part almonds to 2 parts water) and then strained to make homemade organic almond milk.  If you want to use them as a flour you can either grind them yourselves or for a finer result try our organic blanched almond flour.

If you prefer the skin intact try our organic unblanched almonds or enjoy them as part of a mix in our organic trail mix.

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.


Family Tip:

  1. We like to use organic almonds to make a rich almond milk. Home-made milk is far superior to the stuff in the shops which often only contains 2% almonds.
  2. Whole almonds can also be ground down and used in baking or added to energy bar recipes for a lovely marzipan flavour.
  3. Blanched almonds have a sweeter smoother taste and texture than organic whole almonds which contain the skin.
