Organic Ground Ginger is rich and full of flavour.Ā It has a gentle warmth which adds that characteristic kick to baking and raw food recipes.
Ginger starts as a flowering plant and the thick fragrant root is harvested for a range of uses. Ginger has a long standing history ofĀ use in ancient traditions and is in the same family as turmeric, galangal and cardamom.Ā Ginger was used in ancient times for food preservation.
Organic ginger powder has a longer shelf life than fresh ginger root and has more versatility in cooking. This light brown powder has a rich nutritional profile and contains gingerol, beta-carotene, capsaicin and curcumin which are all antioxidant compounds.
