Description

Organic Flaked Almonds are a source of vitamin E.

Organic Flaked Almonds are conveniently flaked so you can add them easily to muesli mixes and toppings.  Almonds are one of the most popular nuts in the whole food world due to their beautiful flavour, good calcium content and vitamin E levels.

The almond is actually a seed grown in a deciduous tree which grows easily in Europe but is native to the Middle East, India and Africa.

Flaked almonds make lovely toppings on tarts and pastries.  They are a great source of nutrition and are lovely used in baking or simply snacked on.

We also stock whole Organic Blanched Almonds which can be blended with water and then strained to make homemade almond milk.  If you want to use almonds as a flour you can either grind them yourselves or for a finer result try our Organic Blanched Almond Flour.

If you want to try our organic almonds as part of a mix then try our Organic Trail Mix.

Storage

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight.  Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.

Family Tip:

  1. We like to use organic almonds to make a rich almond milk. Home-made milk is far superior to the stuff in the shops which often only contains 2% almonds.
  2. They can also be ground down and used in baking or added to energy bar recipes for a lovely marzipan flavour.
