Organic Toasted Soya Flour is a fine powder produced from beans rather than a grain, which means it is packed with protein and will give a lovely velvety texture. It is delicately sieved, toasted and dried to produce this versatile store cupboard ingredient.
This flour makes a great thickening agent for sauces and soups and can be used as a substitute for regular flour to bake bread or muffins. It has a dense nutritional profile, making it great for a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Try using this to make some delicious pancakes, topped with our pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of honey.
1/2 cup Forest Whole Foods organic toasted soya flour
150ml soya milk
1tsp organic corn flour
1 tbsp Forest Whole Foods organic extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp lemon juice
- Mix all the ingredients together until well combined
- Pour the batter into a hot pan and cook on a medium heat
- Flip the pancake once it has browned
- Top with a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds, a drizzle of honey and some of your favourite fruit
