Description

Organic Rolled Porridge Oats contain Beta-Glucans.

Organic Rolled Porridge Oats are so versatile – a true cupboard staple.  Keeping less than 5kg in stock doesn’t make sense when you are a porridge fanatic.  You can make a great muesli mix with oats, roughly chopped nuts, seeds and mixed vine fruit.

You may already know that porridge oats are a source of beta-glucans, but do you know what they do?  Consumption of beta-glucans from oats as part of a meal contributes to the reduction of the blood glucose rise after that meal (this explains why porridge keeps you going).

Love porridge but can’t have gluten?  Shop for our gluten free organic rolled oats.

If you need your porridge but are short of time in the mornings then try these vegan and gluten free granola bars which you can eat on the run!  We find it hard to beat a proper bowl of warming porridge, if you are in a ‘recipe rut’ try this stewed blueberry porridge recipe to mix things up!

Most people love oatcakes, but have you tried making your own?  If you want to give it a go try this five seed oat cakes recipe.

Family Tip:

  1. We love the simplicity of oats and eat them nearly everyday for breakfast.
  2. They can be added to home-made muesli recipes or cereal bars
  3. We like to boost our porridge with nuts, seeds and fruit to make sure it really does keep us going.
  4. If you want to be creative why not make a dip or side dish similar to hummus?
